Day 2

23 September 2017

London, England

09:00. Breakfast! My stomach is eating itself and the toast saved me. I’m trying to figure out where to go today and I may head over to Westminster. I will probably end up somewhere else though because I can’t stick to any plan. Wish me luck.

15:00. I’m back at the hostel. This morning I took the tube to King’s Cross Station and walked around for a bit. Of course I had to go to the Platform 9¾ store and cart in the wall. I was so happy that they had a lot of Hufflepuff merchandise because people usually forget about us. #HufflepuffRocks

I spent a while in St. Pancras Gardens and was able to sit and relax for a while. I always end up in cemeteries without even trying when I’m away from home. There was a tree that had a bunch of headstones around a tree from all of the graves that they dug up years ago.

I walked around Camden for a while and went to a Chinese teahouse called Mei Leaf. The man working there was almost as hot as the tea. I highly recommend checking it out. There’s also a spa in the back! It’s the perfect place to go if you are travelling around and need a quick wind down.

I was in and out of a few thrift stores and bought myself another jacket that will probably be better for the rest of this month than my other one. I think I like the secondhand shops here way more than back home in Florida. There are way more pieces that are “me” around here; mostly dark colors, long sleeves, high necks, and lots of leather skirts. I could live solely off of thrift store clothes if I ever moved here.

20:00. I’m about to go to a pub called The Macbeth in what I think is Shoreditch. They’re having a Spice Girls themed night. Although I’m not quite sure what to expect, I’m not expecting much. I will let you know how it goes.
